Founded in 2011, Grassroots Kitchen & Tap is a family-owned and operated restaurant in Scottsdale. Serving lunch and dinner daily, Grassroots tempts with a from-scratch menu of classic Southern-influenced American cuisine, polished service-first style and a friends and family-focused vibe. Putting the 'Tap' in Grassroots Kitchen & Tap, enjoy an extensive menu of craft beers and wines (both available on tap) and signature cocktails - all served in a distinctive rustic-yet-modern atmosphere highlighted by colorful Americana artwork and expansive dining patios. Christopher Collins

Proudly raised in Phoenix, Christopher Collins is a fourth-generation restaurateur and the founder & operator of Common Ground Culinary. After graduating with honors from Boston University with a degree in hospitality management, Christopher honed his craft working as both an executive chef and general manager for top restaurant brands nationwide. Then in 2011, Collins returned to the Valley, and put his skills to use handcrafting a local restaurant group, Common Ground Culinary, with a mission of creating community driven restaurants that have ‘soul’ and strive to be a staple of the neighborhoods each serves. Common Ground Culinary currently operates Grassroots Kitchen & Tap, Collins Bros. Chophouse, Wally’s American Gastropub, Sweet Provisions in Scottsdale and The Collins Small Batch Kitchen, The Macintosh, Neighborly Public House, and Arcadia Catering Company in Phoenix. Christopher is married to Melissa Collins and is the father of two sons, Christopher ‘Topher” Collins Jr and Fitzgerald “Fitzy” Collins.

Grassroots Kitchen & Tap in Scottsdale can host a variety of semi-private and private dining events at its sister restaurant, Collins Bros. Chophouse, in the same shopping center.  Collins Bros. Chophouse features a fully private indoor dining space seating up to 22 people, as well as a covered outdoor private patio seating up to 54 guests. Furthermore, there is a secondary private patio that can be paired with the indoor dining room to provide a pre-event cocktail reception space. We can also host off-site catering provided by Arcadia Catering Company.
